Oates Safestep Paste

A tough, spot resistant wax finish for resin finished timber floors. Provides a heavy duty finish that is best suited for new timber and timber that has had wax finishes totally removed. Apply to floor using a clean dry Oates® poly cotton mop. Be sure to mop across the direction of the grain and use the mop ferrule to push the finish onto the floor in a tight figure 8 pattern. The second coat should be applied down the grain (same direction as the planks, 200mm away from skirting boards). Allow to dry thoroughly and buff the floor using a 300-400 RPM buffer with an Oates® Tan or White pad to build gloss and smooth out the finish. Two coats should be sufficient and a third coat may be required if the floor is still “hungry” looking. Applying a third coat will provide a more slip resistant floor.
Important: Before use, wear impervious chemical resistant gloves and safety glasses with side-shields.
